The
Amithlon Project
Based on Mambo's Amithlon laptop
My experience after reading Mambo's Amithlon Laptop guide inspired me to build my own amithlon laptop based on the same series of Dell Laptops .
After exploring various models of Dell laptops i have emulated with success 2 models.
1) Dell C640 2) Dell C840
Its the same laptop with C610 but with P4m socket, also another soundcard is fitted.
You can build with success this laptop with a powerfull Pentium 4M clocked on 2.0ghz .
Same CPU's can be usen on both models.
If you want to use both windows and amithlon the only problem for windows is that you have to limit the memory up to 1.256mb with 2 memory modules, 1gb and 256mb ram so the total dont run over 1.256 to allow to amithlon to boot safe. On windows you can use the laptop for emulators such as Project64, Nes, Snes, Mame, Master system, Mega drive, PSX all running fine.
So its fine if you want to have a small 2003 emulator machine with Amithlon Installed.
Thats what i did in my Dell C640. I've installed a ton of emulator games on windows.
I've partitioned my 100gb HD on 4 Segments. 20gb for Amithlon 30mb for boot partition and the rest for windows (2 parts) including games, sound tools, emulators, Demoscene of the 2000 era.

Greek Installation Guide by ScorpioGr
I'm proud to have so much dedicated members to our Amiga community
and so capable to lift an Amithlon BBS server like ScorpioGr did.
ScorpioGr (Dimitris) Has his amithlon BBS server 24/7 and this is
thanks to the Amithon Stabilty and the power of OS3.9 to work so flawless under those conditions.
Below its the Greek guide he made step by step to help understand the basics of the installation
and build for an Amithlon System.
The Guide starts with the basics of hardware selection that fits best to our hardware available.
